Hendrix, a Charleston native, is no stranger to unique storytelling. His breakout novel, 'Horrorstör', set in a haunted furniture store, solidified his place in the horror genre. With several of his works already optioned for the screen, including 'My Best Friend's Exorcism', Hendrix is a sought-after author. But the question remains: will 'BadAsstronauts' be his next big hit?
The film is in the early stages of development, with producers Todd Garner and Adam Goldworm on board. However, the project has already faced some challenges. A previous adaptation of Hendrix's work, 'The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires', was put on hold by HBO Max due to a lack of desired reaction.
