Sadie Proulx, the 2025 Miss Teen Personality Canada, is making waves both on the international pageant stage and in her local community. With a crown and a compassionate spirit, she's redefining the modern pageant queen's role.
Sadie, a proud North Bay resident, has been actively involved in various fundraising initiatives, leaving her mark on the community. Her dedication to giving back started even before her pageant career. As a teenager, she competed in the Miss Teenage Canada pageant, but later switched to Personality Pageants Canada, which focuses on personality and kindness rather than beauty.
"Personality Pageants Canada emphasizes personality, interviews, speech competitions, and essays, with the stage performance being more about confidence than appearance," Sadie explained. This shift in focus has allowed her to excel and win titles like Miss Congeniality at Miss Teen Universe in the Dominican Republic.
Sadie's commitment to her community is evident through her work with local animal rescue organizations. She frequently collaborates with All Heart Pet Rescue, the North Bay and District Humane Society, and Cassell’s Animal Hospital Teddy Fund. Her efforts have raised significant funds, such as the $3,000 collected for the Teddy Fund last year, which helps pet owners in life-or-death situations without causing them financial strain.
Looking ahead, Sadie is considering her next steps in pageantry. She aims to continue representing Canada and North Bay on the international stage, with Miss Universe being a long-term goal. Her dedication to her community and her passion for making a difference inspire others, especially the younger generation, to take action and find their own ways to contribute.
Sadie's story highlights the power of youth engagement and the positive impact it can have on communities. Her efforts not only showcase her personal growth but also inspire others to embrace their potential and make a difference.
